St Ogilvie High School

Russell Regulatory Consultants are proud to announce our partnership with St Ogilvie High School in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. We have sponsored a pupil for ‘the Scholars Programme,’ ran by the charity ‘the Brilliant Club’.
The Scholars Programme helps some of the most vulnerable high school pupils- particularly those from the lowest Scottish Index Multiple Deprivation postcodes- develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress to the most competitive universities.
They will participate in a learning programme delivered by PhD tutors who will share their knowledge and passion for learning. This experience will allow the pupils to develop key university-preparedness skills including critical thinking, subject knowledge, written efficiency and university self-efficacy.
The impact of this programme is significant with students who complete ‘The Scholars Programme’ being statistically more likely to apply and progress to a competitive university than students with similar backgrounds who do not participate (UCAS evaluation, 2021). This programme is also known to drive aspirations with some of the most vulnerable pupils, increasing their likelihood to further their studies into higher education and training.
